Dieting in weight loss program
results in only one thing – hunger. While one may lose a few kilos initially,
hunger almost always wins and one gives in the urge to eat! Deprivation makes
the urge to eat stronger and you end up eating more than you would normally.
What you feel?
I personally feel, for effective
weight loss, one must remember the pleasurable aspect of eating. We must not
deprive ourselves from eating all things we love to eat. When one eats for
pleasure instead of fullness, one tends to take in fewer calories. The more
pleasure you get from food, the less food you will need to feel satisfied.
This is because it is not the
volume but the satiety that comes from eating that is important. Let me play an
example here, when you eat ice-cream cone instead of a bowl of ice-cream, it
contains less ice-cream but lasts twice as long. Every lick is pleasurable.
Thus, the length of time that you take to eat and the pleasure you get out of
it are prolonged.
So, the best way to shed kilos is
by eating for pleasure and enjoying the foods you love. Is not it?
