How much water should i be drinking?

    How much water should i be drinking?

    ok, so im trying to cut some weight and get a little leaner.  im pretty sure a large amount of my calorie intake is in the form of liquid calories.  so i am trying to drink more water in an effort to cut out some calories.  but i have also heard that drinking a lot of water will help facilitate weight loss.  so i am wondering, how much water should i be drinking per day and is it possible to drink too much?

     

    btw i am a male, i am 5'9 and i weigh 190lbs

    Drinking water is very important for good health, not only during your weight loss plan.

    A person whether diet or not should drink enough water everyday.

    This is a simple question with no easy answer.  It Depends. While drinking water is often the best way to replace lost fluids.

    I am consume at least 8 - 8 ounces glasses of water every day.

     You should drink 8 glasses of water a day. If you can drink more, it's better.

     Well, it's dangerous to drink lots of water. You can be poisoned. I think it's called hyperhydration. But this will only happen if you drink lots of water in a short span of time....maybe like 1 gallon in a couple of minutes.

     One person can drink at least 1.5 liter water per day.

    First of all, just find out how much water u are drinking a day?? The simpler way to do this is :- Get a bottle of water like 1 Ltrs or bigger n' fill it up and then just drink from it only, refill it throughout the day and count how many times you filled it up. Every day you lose water through your breath, perspiration, urine and other activities. The average urine output for adults is 1.5 ltrs/day. Food usually takes about 20 to 25 per cent of your total fluid intake, so if you consume 2 ltrs. or other beverages a day along with your normal diet, then its ok.  Hope this helps...
