    When you'll consider yourself overweight?

To what degree do you consider yourself overweight? 1. Obese ? 2. Very overweight but not obese ? 3. Moderately overweight ? 4. Only slightly overweight ? 5. Not overweight at all ?
    Best Regards,

I am currently within my healthy weight range, keeping there takes work. However, I am always trying to tighten up and build more muscle no matter what my weight. Great question.

I am a 3, but well on my way to a 5. I started out early in the summer about 30 pounds overweight and I have 20 to go. Great question.

I'm in your 5th category and moving from 5th to 1st category is only depends on one's own hands.  So Moving with age and taking on exxtraa stress can easily bring extra fat on our tummy.  So constant effort and healthy lifestyle is the only solution for this.

I'm 20 pounds overweight. Does that make me very overweight? or just moderately overweight? I was obese before and I never want to obese again!

Re: When you'll consider yourself overweight?

It all depends upon body mass index [BMI]. For normal, it lies between 19 to 23, more than 23 represents to obesity. Next is waist to hip ratio. It should be less than 1 in male and 0.85 in female. Any upper value is termed as obesity.

My BMI is 21 and waist to hip ratio tends to 1. So, I’m in category 5 of your list.

Wow, most of the people here are fit! I think this is good. :-) Anyway, I'm going to reach ideal weight in about two to three months. I'm actually excited!
