    A Pre-Workout Tip

Research is now showing that taking some caffeine an hour or two before a workout might help.  Just 200-400 mg can increase the amount of fat burn during a workout as well as increase endurance. This means that you can do more reps for longer times as long as you don't over do. The other thing that the studies are currently showing is that it is better to take supplement forms of caffeine than to drink a bunch of coffee or other caffeine laden beverage. Anyone got some other ways to improve workouts? I am always looking for new tips and ideas.

    Re: A Pre-Workout Tip

For me, it is always stretching before working out to prepare my body for the actual strain of working out. I also like to be sure I am hydrated which leads me to ask the next question of anyone who might know the answer. I have heard that caffeine dehydrates a body, then how does that play into staying hydrated during your workouts ? Maybe the pill form is different then drinking coffee or soda. I am curious as to what others think.

Its news to me. Caffeine certainly is refreshing, and if it helps in exercise it is great.I have seen some chocolate ads related to bodybuilding. Maybe they contain coffee or cocoa..

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.

Just reporting back that I just saw a similar claim in one of my woman health related magazines. It did state that they are continuing to do research, but it appears they feel it will assist with a better workout. Interesting, I will have to keep track of this as it unfolds.
